Synopsis:
As a HASS student, do you sometimes wonder whats the value of your degree in the real world? You are not alone. In this session, I will share my personal experience of navigating a series of existential crises, from making post-graduate plans, to scoring a research and strategy role in the Govt, before finally landing my lucky shot. You will also learn from real case studies of how Fortune 500 companies are increasingly applying human-centric perspectives to their businesses and brands, and how these complement todays Big Data gush.
About the Mentor:
Trained in Sociology, Jin Yi currently works as a consultant with various Fortune 500 companies to translate deep human insights into tangible business strategy. He graduated as Valedictorian of the School of Social Sciences Class of 2020 and was awarded the Koh Boon Hwee Scholars Award.
