Synopsis:
More employers are looking at alternatives on reviewing candidates prior to be selected for an interview. They prefer to have a 1 min review of the candidate and decide if he/she is selected for an online or face to face interview.
Topics:
- Benefits of video resumes and video testimonials.
- We will also share tips on how you can improve your video resumes and ace that interview.
- Take a few video resumes with your mobile and select the most ideal video resume to present to potential employers.
- Upload video testimonials from previous employers to showcase to potential employers and this will increase your chances of being selected for an interview.
- With a video resume and video testimonial, your profile will stand out as compared to the other candidates.
About the Mentor:
Clarence is currently a director at Talent-Merge managing a team of consultants specializing in maritime, oil and gas, finance, IT, logistics, cybersecurity and Fintech.
He joined the maritime industry in 2004 as an Area Sales Manager for Singapore in British MNC and as he overachieved his sales revenue, he was promoted to manage more countries in SE Asia.
With his passion and dedication in sales and management, he was tasked to setup new branch office in Hong Kong for sales and service and in 2011 was promoted to General Manager, Far East managing over 35 staff in Singapore.
He was headhunted to join Dutch MNC as service director and was promoted to board of directors managing over 70 staff in Singapore and Malaysia.
Currently, he works closely with shipowners, ship managers, equipment manufacturers and MNCs to source for mid to senior level positions.
He has been invited to career talks to NTU, SIT, SMA and Kaplan, Murdoch University and is SNAMES Membership Chairperson.
