[Navigating behavioural intervention in a Covid-19 world as a Special Needs educator] Webinar by Mentor Elaine | 17 Dec, 7pm
7:00 PM — 9:00 PM (2 hours)
Description
Overview:
Having been in the special needs field for 6 years through events management has allowed me to continue my calling as a full-time educator in the special needs field. Recently coming out as a certified special needs educator had showed me that it is important to create awareness through nurturing the change makers of tomorrow as with the current pandemic, is important for students to be able to understand how to intervene behavioural strategies when it comes to dealing with people of special needs field/ and I believe in teaching these changemakers how to integrate in the society if anyone of them wish to pursue special needs as a journey.
Topics:
The career progression for students to fit in in the special needs field need not have to be based solely on getting a certificate but rather through volunteering experiences to get a first-hand experience of working with those in the special needs.
Special needs to some is a specialised skill but with self-learning and exposure, there are ways to create an educational environment for learning through special needs
With my vast experience with working with a diversity of special needs I hope to share my knowledge and experiences with these students
