Summary
A 3rd Year student , I am fairly interested in the pharmaceutical industry and hence decided to take the course Chemical and Biomedical Engineering from the reputed Nanyang Technological University. I have done a few internships to enhance my knowledge and get a good hands-on experience in the field. One was a research project that dealt with improving the production of cellulose from certain bacteria by creating variations and adding substances to increase concentration. Another was working in an immunodiagnostics lab where I worked in the molecular biology department learnt about the PCR technique.I am currently working on another research project titled Rapid point-of-care diagnostic assays for the detection of infectious agents and cancer.
