When I was working at Nanyang Technological University (Aug 2023 - Present), I demonstrated the Organic Chemistry skill when I was tasked to synthesize a complex organic molecule. To tackle this experiment, I proactively carefully drafted out each step of the synthesis and carried it out, eg purification. I also utilized spectroscopic methods (NMR, IR) to confirm the structure of the final product. As a result, I managed to successfully obtain a high-yield product that met purity standards, which showcased my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical applications.
