Q&A with Jiunn Long Tan
What are some mistakes that you have made in your career? How did you deal with it and what have you learned from them?
Firstly, I dont dare to ask question even though I dont have the relevant knowledge or not in syllabus of my studies. This really hindered my job progress. Out of no choice, I have to be more resourceful and observant so I started to ask my senior if my thinking of problem solving is correct. From those, I learn faster from my seniors advice.
Secondly, my leader felt me not communicating whenever I progress or did a mistake. It was very frustrated when I literally need to report everything and wait for my supervisors decision. However I realized that feedback to my supervisor ease the decision making for him. So I practiced that in my future career.
