Summary
Manav Notaria is a Mechanical Engineering sophomore at Nanyang Technological University. Aeronautics and Energy, and sustainability have always been his passion. He is deeply interested to do research in these sectors. Manav has always been an avid learner, due to which he has exposure to a vast spectrum of fields. Growing up, he has had an immense interest in the research sector which helped him achieve a lot of accolades, licenses, and project publications. Apart from his excellent academic achievements, he has taken the initiative to volunteer for many different NGOs.

Graymatics Singapore* Familiarised myself with popular YOLOv3 detection algorithm and libraries such as Keras and NumPy to create an Image Identification Algorithm .
* Learnt OpenCV to create Car Plate Generators for different vehicle such as motorcycle, car, van and SUVs for an India/Singapore Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR).
* Used wide scope analytics to run the programs based on the ANPR, people count, violence detection, vehicle counting, abnormal behaviour, and multiple actions.
* Ran through the analytics to present to the clients.
* Used the results out of the analytics to construct a report for future references.

The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) formally established in 1966 is Singapores National Society of Engineers.
IESs mission is to advance and promote the the science, art and profession of engineering for the well being of mankind. It aims to be the heart and voice of Engineers as the national body and home of Engineers in Singapore
IES is well represented at all major institutes of engineering and technical education through student chapters.
It is an honour for me that the IES-NTU chapter considered me capable enough and gave me the opportunity to serve in this position.
As Project Manager of the Business Finance- I will be leading a team of 5 subcommittee members in this wing.
My job scope is to reach out, build and maintain relationship with Industry partners, Professionals Experts from the industry, other individuals and organisations of interest who will be of value to the club in order to gain funding for multiple events carried out by IES-NTU over the academic year. I will have to seek sponsorship for the club as well as organise a fund-raising event if needed.
Additionally, as Project Manager, I will be leading and organising two major large scale events this year in line with the societys agenda of promoting the engineering profession.
Looking forward to working and growing with all fellow members and achieve the maximum out of the year ahead as a team.

o Created a safer battery pack prototype for electrical equipment using Fusion 360
o Worked on a project which involved polishing the inner surfaces of a 3D printed material using
HCAF technologies, abrasive materials and ultrasonic vibration effectively.
