Summary
Shyam is an international civil servant with a strong track record in public administration and development. He is currently an Education Specialist with the World Bank, looking after projects in the West Africa region.
Prior to this, Shyam focused on education and transport in the Government of Singapore. Shyam started off teaching academically weaker students, before working on school admission and special education policies. Shyam then took charge of the cross-border rail team, looking after Singapore’s marquee bilateral projects with Malaysia, the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail and the Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System Link.
Shyam’s interests are in international development, non-profits and government.
