Summary
Life is more than the time spent at work or school. When I am not working, I am either spending time with my wife and kid, reading a book I love and not love, lifting weights, coding for personal projects late into the night or early in the morning, streaming Disney+ or Amazon Prime, getting to know the purpose of our existence and more.

Education
Bachelor of Science (Hons) (Math) Aug 2014 - Jul 2018
Nanyang Technological University SingaporeDedicated a good 4 years of my life to be exposed and educated (to some extent) on mathematics modules (Linear Algebra, Calculus, Time Series, Regression, Programming in Python, R, C++ and Matlab, Discrete Mathematics, Real Analysis, Stochastic Calculus, Financial Mathematics).
Because I am interested in languages, I took up Mandarin (Level 1) and French (up to Level 3).
I tried out Archery in my first couple of years in school. Then went on to volunteer in the SPMS Science Camp as well as the United Nations Student Association (Humanitarian Wing).
All in all, time flew fast in university and am grateful for the connections I made during my time there.Other Skills
Q&A with Akbar Azad
How do you effectively manage your work?
I effectively manage my work by having a planner on my iPhone. With a planner, I know what tasks are on my plate, their deadlines and whether I have completed them. When we have a ton of projects, this planner declutters my mind and I am able to have a clearer picture of what to do.

What was the most significant event that made you the way you are now?
The most significant is in fact the journey I led to transform a companys reporting standards to highly relevant, actionable and reproducible reports and analyses for strategic decision-making, business health performance, marketing analytics and more. And this company is Singapores all-in-one mobile wallet, Singtel Dash.
