United Overseas Bank(UOB) SingaporeI worked as the frontline in UOB’s privilege banking contact centre by taking up the role of a customer service officer. I had to withstand the fast paced work environment and pick up calls quickly to prevent long waiting time for customers. Empathy is crucial in handling the customers worries and frustrations. There is a need to be patient and calm too. I had to familiarise myself with the navigation of the systems to retrieve customer’s information instantly and be analytical and make good use of my access to the systems to find out the root cause of customers issues and help them to resolve it.

When I was working at United Overseas Bank(UOB) (Jan 2023 - Jul 2023), I demonstrated the Teamwork skill when I was part of the call centre. To improve the situation, I proactively helped my colleagues to deal with undone work when they are not in the office. I take over their work to solve customers concerns so that we can be portrayed as a call centre that has excellent customer service as a whole. As a result, I managed to strengthen the image of UOBs customer service sector.

To resolve the issue, I proactively maximised the benefits of the systems and make use of critical thinking to find out the root cause of the problem the customers were experiencing. As a result, I managed to complete customers requests and solve their worries bringing a sigh of relief to them.

As a result, I managed to strengthen the ties between my groupmates such that we know one anothers weakness and strengths and can work together more effectively.
