How do you effectively manage your work?
Prioritise. In every line of work, even if its not daily, there will bound to be a time where you are extremely busy and have up to 20 concurrent tasks at once.
The way to go about it is to ensure you have a priority and not try to tackle all at once, 5% at a time, or go by chronological order of when you received the task - the importance of the task and urgency matters more than anything else.

What do you do to keep your skills fresh or keep yourself updated in your field?
Upskilling is extremely important. Just 10 years ago, Gen AI wasnt quite a thing and AI wasnt that hyped. In a short span of 10 years, you realise things have changed so much that we simply have to keep pace with the developments in this world.
Remember - you never know everything in this world, what you know today may be obsolete tomorrow. And what you know tomorrow might not even last a day.

What sacrifices have you had to make to succeed in this field, and do you feel the sacrifices were worth it?
Time. Like many industries and roles, time is often a factor in how far you progress. Imagine performing your work much like driving a car, how far you go is determined by both the time and the speed. If you have the speed but dont have the time, you wouldnt be able to go very far. The reverse is true, if you have the time but dont have the speed, you wouldnt go far. So its really about maintaining both the speed and the time put in.

What was the most significant event that made you the way you are now?
COVID and not only its challenges but also the wonderful opportunities that came along unexpectedly. When you learn to make the most out of even the worst situations, you realise that every situation can be a potential opportunity if you know how to approach it.
Through COVID, I came to learn how to view things in a different light and always consider the positives and what could be, instead of always being bogged by what it is.
