I am an experienced Venture Capitalist and Private Equity Investor with over 20 years of investing experience in South East Asia, India and China. My work has involved guiding portfolio companies in raising capital (equity and debt), expanding into new markets, mergers acquisition among others in industries as diverse as chocolate confectionery, industrial goods, consumer products, education, Food Beverage, digital marketing and business services.
I am an advocate of Gender Lens Investing and Sustainability and serve as the Environmental and Social Management (ES) Partner for Anthem Asia Myanmar SME Venture Fund, a women-led private equity firm investing in small-and-medium-sized enterprises building sustainable businesses.
I am a non-executive director of portfolio companies and I volunteer as an Audit Risk Sub-Committee member and Accredited Mediator with Singapore non-profit organisations. I am a Certified Coach and provide coaching and mentoring to leaders, executives and start-up founders.

What experience did you find most invaluable in your career so far?
The time i spent overseas studying and working have given me a much wider lens and an appreciation of the need for cultural intelligence i.e. working with people from different cultures.

What are some personal projects or ideas you have worked on or are working on now?
I have been building up my credentials as a coach as I see coaching. mentoring and developing talent as key for individual and organisational performance.

What do you do to keep up with the current issues and trends in your field?
I read widely to update myself on industry trends and how these trends impact the companies I work with. Proactive scanning of different industries and geopolitics is crucial in a VUCA world.
