Q&A with Marcus Teo
What do you like most about your work?
I absolutely love the idea of intellectual collaboration. Think-tanking, horizon-scanning, and anticipating challenges are team situations in which I thrive. As a philosopher, I am aware that my skillset is not immediately and technically applicable to many corporate situations. However, the transferable skills that I have gained from my training (e.g., critical analysis, detail-orientedness, asking the right questions) have allowed me to find my value in collaborative situations. Meeting new people who have interesting things to say is always fun!

If you were a college student again, what would you do differently to prepare you for your field?
Id take on a wider variety of intro-level subjects (e.g., introductory level coding, economics)! While I am extremely grateful for the education Ive received and had the time of my life as an undergraduate, I would have greatly benefited to expanding my horizons further.
