Summary
Often problem solving is multidisciplinary- requiring expertise from different fields. Computational biology is one such field that is present at the intersection of computer science and biology, and is evolving rapidly with the scientific advances in information technology and biological knowledge discovery.
I am a researcher in the field of computational and structural biology. My interests and expertise lies in developing as well as using existing theories in bioinformatics, computational and structural biology to gain a deeper understanding of complex cellular machinery. In terms of experience, I have been working in the fields for ~5 years. The work entails knowledge discovery from data derived from multiple disparate sources/experiments; and further using this knowledge to design experiments. I have developed several good prognostic as well as analytical algorithms and used these to extend the present understanding of molecular biology of cancer. I have around 10 publications in top tier journals.
I am passionate about making professional acquaintances and exposure to new ideas.

What excites you about the field that you are in?
Most of my education and experience has been in the field of bioinformatics. I am very passionate about contributing on aspects of drug discovery and healthcare.
