Describe a time when you demonstrated leadership skills.
There was a decision to be made concerning malfunction turbines at a power station which was blamed on the lubricant being not up to specifications. I confirmed that the lubricant was up to specifications and pointed to the problem of the turbines not being correctly balanced. The turbines were later balanced and the power station resumed operation using the same lubricant and without any issues.

Describe a situation where you had an idea and needed to influence people around you to understand, and work together towards achieving the idea.
This was a real example where the lubricant was infected with bacteria which is extremely unusual. I had to convince the R D staff that the bacteria was depleting the additive in the lubricant and that a biocide had to be incorporated into the lubricant to prevent the infection.
