How do you attempt to overcome your lack of knowledge in particular areas?
I always believe that knowledge is the power that will be able to increase the confidence, improve the performance, and advance the career. There are several steps I will try when I find there are some knowledge gap in specific areas.
-Identify the knowledge gaps: Start by identifying which areas you lack knowledge in. Look for tasks or projects that I am struggling with, and try to pinpoint the specific knowledge or skills that need to improve.
-Seek out learning resources: Seek out learning resources to help myself fill the gaps. This could include training courses, online tutorials, books, or even asking colleagues who are knowledgeable in the area for advice.
-Set goals and create a learning plan: Its important to set specific goals and create a plan for how to acquire the knowledge that is needed. Break down the larger goal into smaller, achievable steps, and create a timeline for completing them.
-Be patient and persistent: Learning new skills and knowledge takes time and effort. Its important to be patient with ourselves and persist in our efforts even if progress is slow. Celebrate small successes and keep moving forward towards the goals.

What achievements in your career are you most proud of?
I believe that my career is a marathon, not a race. And this also explains the motivations for me to stay in the risk domain. As one of the first few hires to build the Sea Group’s digital bank in Singapore from scratch focusing on risk management, with my educational background of business analytics and domain knowledge in anti-fraud, I’m an experienced risk specialist who always dedicated to apply proactive and data-driven approaches in fraud prevention strategy to safeguard the digital bank’s operation and reputation, as well as protect customer from potential fraud losses.
