As the CTO of Ascentis, I lead the design and development of the next customer experience for the retail and FB loyalty CRM. With over 20 years of experience in software engineering, cloud platform, DevOps, architecture and knowledge management, I have a passion for leveraging technologies to solve business problems and create value for our clients and partners.
My core competencies include solution architecting and developing for high availability and scalable systems, software project management, Microsoft products + Azure, AWS, TOGAF enterprise architecture and organizational knowledge creation/retention. I believe that integrating different technologies can enhance the efficiency, scalability, security, and transparency of our systems and services, as well as deepen our understanding of our customers needs and preferences.
My mission is to build a rockstar tech team that is full of curiosity and passion, and that can deliver new complex features across multiple channels and platforms. What achievements in your career are you most proud of?
There are a lot. From technical point of view, I had helped a company saved $100K in cloud cost per month, I had designed and build high performing application with zero downtime for a personal record of 6 months, I had designed high throughput applications that are able to handle 120K requests per minute. From people point of view, I had trained several high performance engineering team, and had a track record of zero natural resignation in a year.

My personal mission is to mentor/coach 5000 working professionals.

What are your interests and in what way does this career satisfy your interests?
I like to build software. Then I reliased that we need a whole village to build and maintain a good software. Then I switched my interest to grooming engineers to build a good and reliable software.

Is there something you wish you'd known starting out in your field? Or is there something you wish you had done differently starting out?
Know your leverage. Leverage helps us to jumpstart our career in every aspects. Find a good mentor, so that you know your career path. Find a good teacher or courses to learn the hard skills early. Raise fund to kickstart your startup. There are a lot of things we can do faster when we have the right leverage.
