How do I listen at work?

With my engineer (engine ear) ;)



Passionate about design, designing, details, how things work, how things can be improved, not just in physical products but on systems and processes in the organization and career progression.

Focus for 2023 is asking more why... and how about... instead of just anything else?, and mastering effective communication to project confidence and reassurance for myself and others.



As an avid reader, here are five book recommendations:
- Neither Civil Nor Servant (biography of Philip Yeo, big-thinker, action-taker)
- The Design of Everyday Things (design skills and perspectives, but super dry)
- Never Split The Difference (negotiating skills, in case my sister gets kidnap, shes worth $874.50)
- The Mind for Numbers (how we learn, underrated! Should be a primary/secondary/tertiary course)
- How to Go to Work (you never know what you dont know until you find out)
