Work Experience
Intern May 2023 - Jun 2023
Neurodegeneration Research Lab, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine SingaporeInterned here for a short time, as I was interested in getting to know what the field of neurology was about.
I got my first experience of working with hIPSC-derived organoids, and also learnt skills like cryosectioning, chemical fixation of samples. Attending the lab meetings was an eye-opening experience for me as there were really a lot of different projects going on at the same time, but each lab member was expected to be sharp enough to give their critique and feedback on how to improve others’ projects.
Intern Feb 2022 - Jul 2022
Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Endodermal Development and Differentiation Lab SingaporeMy first lab internship, spent some time learning different molecular and cell culture techniques and the subject matter.
Worked on a diabetes project exploring how two specific genes were involved in the development of pancreatic progenitors into the different cells in the pancreas, including ß cells. The hope of this project is to help understand how pancreatic progenitors could be used in regenerative medicine.
During my time there, I helped generate various mutants via cloning and purify the respective plasmids, as well as learn different techniques by helping out with other projects in the lab.

Bryant Oh's Skill Profile
Intern @ Ministry of Trade and Industry
When I was working at Ministry of Trade and Industry (Dec 2021 - Feb 2022), I demonstrated the Policy Analysis skill when I was in charge of Reviewing the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement and suggesting improvements to it. To tackle this challenge, I proactively read up different trade agreements and other legal language documents. As a result, I managed to complete my list of recommendations to them, including an innovative sustainability clause.
