What excites you about the industry you are in?
In Oil Gas Industry like in Offshore Fixed Platforms, each project will last only for an average of a 2-3 year span. Each project will leave new learning, new approach, and new technology. It excites me because theres new learning that you can get from new sets of people you will work with and a new culture of experience.

What area are you most interested in regarding your current career?
My everyday routine is kept on changing. The situation yesterday is to be different from today. Since I am dealing with Supply Chain operations, the everyday scenario is different. The most interesting part of it is how you solve the day-by-day issues on each process. This is one of the ways to train us on how to act fast in a challenging situation. This is one of the ways on how to develop ourselves to become decisive and firm in giving our decision.

Describe a time when you demonstrated leadership skills.
We have to lay down the plans and discuss what things need to be achieved. We need to set a target (individual or group) and we need to update the status. If theres a problem along the way, we need to discuss, reassess and set a new plan. Leadership is like a mentoring process wherein we need to give some sort of guidance and motivation to them for them to get inspired. My style of leadership is more of setting up a target and do something to achieve it.

What are the tools or technology that you enjoy using for your work?
Oracle system is provided in the company but the most important one is how we could do something on the data. During my Master of Engineering class, I was thought of practicing Six Sigma tools. This tool is a step-by-step process on how we could analyze the data depending on the situation. The main purpose of it is to identify the cause of the problem, present evidence of fact based on data, and proposed a solution to it. Theres a lot of tools that are available and we can use them but the most important thing is our knowledge on how to use them.

What are your strongest skills that have contributed to your success in this field?
As a trained Industrial Engineer, I am always looking for process innovation. I have the ability to understand what the problem is, consolidate the data, study the possible improvement option, propose and test a model and execute the solution. Process improvement is one of the ways on how to improve the productivity of the company and achieve more in terms of cost-saving with a minimal investment.

What experience did you find most invaluable in your career so far?
As handling the supply chain and part of the material management team, my main scope is to make sure that all the production materials are sufficient enough for daily production.
This is most invaluable because the impact of it will have a huge domino effect on the whole production process. The sudden stoppage of the process because of no available materials will cause a lot of loss for the company like loss of manhour time, loss of productivity to achieve, loss of manpower availability, and financial loss for the waste. of opportunity. Achieving the time schedule is one of the most important in project management.
