Summary
I am motivated by my personal encounter as a caregiver, supporting my mum who has schizophrenia. So the experience of fear and shame is a personal one, and has cultivated my professional interests to make a difference in the mental health field through technology and continuous innovation.
Outside of work, I am passionate about all things Chinese - Chinese Art, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Tea, Chinese Chess. I admire and value cultures, and am curious about stuff that makes me think. I love autobiographies and success stories. Its all about helping others and such stuff inspires me to do better for under-served communities.

Q&A with Matt Oon
What kind of education or training did you find most useful in your field?
A large part of education comes from mentorship, as well as the ability to engage with a wide range of literature. The mind constantly shapes and evolves when it faces challenges in different contexts and when it receives stimulation from quality information. Reading is one outlet by which ones mind can be shaped for the better.
